Lisa-Marie Tse denies she is shunned by other beauty queens

29 Sep – Lisa-Marie Tse has laughed off rumours that she has been shunned by the other Miss Hong Kong winners after getting more attention than the others since the competition.

As reported on Mingpao, rumours of the Scotland beauty getting the cold shoulder sparked after she posted several photos from a recent get-together with first runner-up Celina Harto, second runner-up Rosita Kwok, and Miss Friendship Maisie Kwong.

She wrote, "The year I took a really big step, and started on a new path in Hong Kong. Friendship is crucial in life, and these girls have really made me feel at home! Thank you guys so much!!"

However, netizens couldn't help but notice that Lisa was always positioned at the back in all of the group photos, sparking rumours that the rest of the beauty queens were not very fond of her because of her success since the competition ended.

Speaking to the media about the issue, the reigning Miss Hong Kong denied that she was being shunned by the others, and stressed that their relationship is fine.

"The report was exaggerating things. We were at Celina Harto's house for a gathering at the time. I decided to stay in the back of all photos because I just wanted to cover my fat arms," she said.
