  • Lisa Kudrow has admitted she was worried about coping with life after Friends ended.

  • The actress played fan-favourite Phoebe Buffay on the show for ten years.

Friends is regarded as one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. So we're not surprised it took Lisa Kudrow a little while to come to terms with the thought of packing up filming after ten pretty successful years.

Lisa, who played Phoebe Buffay for ten seasons, recently spoke candidly about the pressures she faced once the show finished.

She revealed the fear was one of the main reasons she joined the cast of The Comeback in 2005 - where she played an actress participating in a reality show in a bid to stay relevant.

"There were six of us who were put in the spotlight together, right?" the 56-year-old revealed to the Sunday Times Culture magazine. "Yet it was still challenging, even though we had each other to bounce off.

"I know fame can be hard, even if that’s what people seek out, and, yes, at the time I made The Comeback, I was concerned. I was watching reality shows, wondering what they were going to do when the show is over.

"They don’t have anything else to keep them in the spotlight, and they’ve had the most humiliating things broadcast nationwide. I was worried about people not being able to mentally survive that – and, sure enough, there were casualties."

Thankfully, Lisa won't have to wait too long before she's reunited with her co-stars again.

Following the iconic show's 25th anniversary, Monica Geller, Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Ross Geller, Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani are set to return for a one-off episode after 15 years.

A Friends reunion has been on the cards for months, with Jennifer Aniston teasing that the original cast were "working on something" in November last year. Meanwhile, Matthew Perry also fuelled rumours by cryptically tweeting, "Big news coming..."

Speaking about the reunion, Courteney Cox said on a podcast with Kevin Nealon: "I'm so excited. We're going to have the best time. It's going to be great."

We can't wait!
