Lindsie Chrisley Says She Was 'Never Comfortable Fully' While Shooting Family's Reality Show

The former reality star admitted she is "the most shy Chrisley and by a long shot"

Lindsie Chrisley is opening up about her experience filming her family’s reality television show Chrisley Knows Best.

When a fan noted that she seemed “so shy” on the USA Network series and asked what brought her out of her shell during an Instagram Q&A, the television personality called the assessment “incredibly accurate.”

“I’ve always been a shy girlie my whole life, but the people I’m closest to probably wouldn’t say I’m shy,” she shared. “I podcast with one of my best friends and in the comfort of my own home. I was never comfortable fully on tv.”

Lindsie continued, “And I think acknowledging my comfort zone and tapping into that and thriving became my priority.”

She concluded her message by noting she is “the most shy Chrisley and by a long shot.”

While Lindsie appears to now be focused on her podcasts, Coffee Convos and The Southern Tea, her family is planning to return to the small screen.

In August, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed the Chrisley family is teaming up with Scout Productions for their new, upcoming reality series. The untitled program will follow this pivotal next chapter for Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley, Grayson Chrisley, Chloe Chrisley and Nanny Faye Chrisley in the wake of Todd and Julie Chrisley's legal troubles and subsequent prison sentences.

Per a release from Scout Productions, the new series will serve as a "continuation of their story" where longtime fans will get to see the Chrisleys as "they truly are — just as dynamically entertaining and naturally hilarious as ever, but not shying away from authentic drama and grit that makes them just as relatable as ever."

Teasing the family's new collaboration, Savannah, 26, explained how "the time was right to share our story."

"We couldn't have found better partners in Scout Productions. Their ability to balance popular culture and empathy through authentic storytelling is unrivaled and I know they're going to find the right home for this next chapter of our lives," she continued. "We're so happy to be back."

News of the new show comes as Savannah opened up to PEOPLE earlier this month about where she stands with Lindsie as they continue to publicly navigate a private rift. The pair are currently not following each other on social media and not speaking in real life.

"It is very interesting," Savannah said of her fallout with Lindsie. "I don't do well with constant lies and victim mentality, so I'm good."

In aiming to keep her peace, Savannah added she doesn’t see a future reconciliation as a possibility at this time.

"I have realized that as an adult, it's my responsibility to have healthy relationships and cut out unhealthy ones," she continued. "And especially now with the two kids, it's my job to protect them emotionally, physically, psychologically and I just don't have room for people that don't want to show up and show up in a healthy manner."

Lindsie revealed in June that she blocked siblings Savannah, Chase and Grayson on social media following a recent fight, but said that "everything is fine" between them.

However, a source told PEOPLE that the siblings were "not fine," which Savannah confirmed on The Viall Files. She also claimed that Lindsie and her brother Kyle Chrisley — both of whom Todd had during a previous marriage — didn't treat her mother Julie as if she were their mom, even though Julie "always treated them as if they were hers."

During her appearance on the Coffee Convos podcast, Lindsie said Savannah’s comments showed “a complete lack of empathy” given that her parents “were divorced [and] went through toxic co-parenting and [hated] each other.”
