Lindsay Arnold Shares Daughter Sage's Hilarious Reaction to Her Implants Surgery: 'Wow Mom, They're Really Big'

Lindsay Arnold opened up about how she told her daughters Sage, 4, and June, 1, about her recent breast augmentation surgery.

The Dancing with the Stars alum, 31, took to Instagram Stories to reveal that she and her husband Samuel Lightner Cusick told Sage that she was "having surgery" and that she got "things fixed on my chest" while June "has no idea" except that "mommy has an ouchie, gotta be gentle."

"I didn't really say everything exactly," Arnold explained. "But [Sage] has definitely figured it out like 'Wow mom, they're really big.' So she's noticing it and I'm not lying to her in any way, but I didn't give her a detailed description of what the surgery entails."

Arnold added that Sage especially has been "very chill about it" and that both her daughters have been "very gentle with me" for the most part.

"June has been a little bit harder because she'd stand at the edge of the bed. climb up and look at me and go 'mom, mom' like she was going to jump off for me to catch her," she added. "I'm like 'Junie no, I can't catch you.' "

Arnold first revealed that she gifted herself the breast augmentation for Christmas in a TikTok in December 2024 and said it's "something that I knew I always wanted to do.”

"I’m freaking out but I’m also so excited,” she said at the time. "[There are] so many decisions. And it's hard [because] you make the choices for yourself and you have to live with those choices. So I’m hoping that I make the right decision.”

But despite her initial hesitations, Arnold shared in another TikTok post on Jan. 15. that she had "zero regrets" getting the procedure done.

Arnold confirmed her breast augmentation surgery took place on Jan. 14 and that it was a success. Throughout the day, she posted several updates on social media, including a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations before surgery and the first several hours of recovery.

In another video shared to Instagram Stories on Jan. 15, she shared a video of Sage and June laying with her in bed and shared "My girls have been so gentle with me, they are the sweetest,"

While her pain levels when she first came home from surgery were initially tolerable, Arnold revealed in another update on Jan. 16 that she felt "pretty sore."

"I knew this would happen — a lot of people told me day two and three is kind of the hardest," she said. "But last night was a little less comfy to sleep. My chest feels tight, my ribcage feels sore, which feels weird,"

She also added that the "pain isn't horrible," but plans to "take it easy" as she recovers.
