Linda Wong says father's death was false information
19 Oct – Linda Wong recently assured that everything is fine with actor Father Jimmy Wang Yu, who was previously reported to have passed away.
As reported on Mingpao, the Hong Kong singer who spoke to the media at a charity show recently, stated that the death news was just a mistake on actress Helen Ma's part, who shared the hoax without getting the family's confirmation first.
"She has already deleted the post, so there is no need to talk about it further. Actually when I found out about it, I immediately called her. She was very embarrassed," she said.
Linda stressed that the kind Helen did not mean any malice, and that it was just a mistake.
"I know that many friends have been concerned about dad, so sometimes maybe the wrong message is passed down. I have told them that they can call me to verify," she added.
Helen has already apologised for the mistake, saying that she posted the message before the information was confirmed.
