Lili Reinhart on Posing Alongside 'Riverdale' Costar Camila Mendes in Armani Beauty Spot: 'It's a Privilege'
The real-life friends star alongside Isabela Merced, Michael Evans Behling, Chase Stokes and newcomer Christopher Briney in Armani Beauty's Gen A campaign
Lili Reinhart is always down to get glam with Camila Mendes.
The 27-year-old actress opened up to PEOPLE about appearing in Armani Beauty's new Gen A campaign alongside several young Hollywood stars including her Riverdale costar.
“I'm just in really good company, so it's always something that I look forward to whenever I do an Armani event and get to be around these people who I consider my actual friends,” Reinhart tells PEOPLE.
The spot, which also includes Isabela Merced, Michael Evans Behling, Chase Stokes and Gen A newcomer Christopher Briney, shows the crew posing on the beach and lounging in a house.
While it takes a lot of planning and effort to pull off a shoot like this one, Reinhart admits that it's also really fun. “I guess it's technically ‘work,’ but it doesn't feel like that,” she says, adding that she loves collaborating with friends like Mendes, who she’s known for at least seven years.
“Just to get to have experiences outside the confines of Riverdale is always just really nice, and it's a privilege to get to do that with her," Reinhart shares. “And I hope to get to continue to work with her in the future outside of the show, because we are friends in real life.”

She says there were multiple moments during the new beauty shoot where it felt like the group got to really bond together and have some fun, including when they went outdoors for some beach shots.
“We were standing right by the waves, so the people would just shout, ‘Wave!’ “ she recalls. “And we would have to run towards the house where we were shooting, [and] we were all either barefoot or wearing socks, or sandals or whatever. But it was fun.”
The actress says another thing that made it easy for her to shoot the campaign was her love for the products — including the Luminous Silk Concealer and Lip Power Longwear Satin Lipstick.
“To do a shoot where I'm in glam that I feel really comfortable in and working with really wonderful makeup artists and products that I use every day in my personal life, there's no complaints here,” she says.
While Reinhart says that she is a "less is more" type of person with her everyday glam, she has been experimenting with some new makeup looks.
"Lately when I'm going out and kind of want to step up my appearance, I will wear a nice lipstick, or I'll use one of the Armani lid tints on my eyes, then do a little bit of a smudgy liner," she says.
As for her daily makeup, it consists of concealer, mascara and filling in her brows. "Having a little bit of makeup helps me feel kind of more organized, and focused and put together," she adds. "So in that aspect, makeup is really helpful for me."
