Lightning Streaks Across Texas Sky as Severe Thunderstorms Hit Dallas

An impressive bolt of lightning streaked across the sky in Hutchins, Texas, amid severe weather warnings issued for parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area on Thursday, March 16.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch for the region as funnel clouds were spotted over the metroplex.

According to energy provider Oncor, nearly 8,000 customers were without power on Thursday evening as a result of the storms.
