Lightning-Sparked Wildfire Spreads in Arizona's Hualapai Mountains as Temperatures Soar

A wildfire sparked by lightning spread to 300 acres in Arizona’s Hualapai Mountains on Wednesday, July 20, officials said, as an excessive heat warning was in place for parts of the state.

Footage released by the Arizona Bureau of Land Management shows an overhead view of the fire.

The wildfire, dubbed the Pine Peak fire, was first recorded on Saturday, according to authorities, who said smoke from the fire was visible in Yucca, Wikieup, and Kingman.
