Li Chen and Yan Ni dismiss dating rumours
22 Sep – Li Chen has recently dismissed rumours that he is now dating older actress Yan Ni.
Mainland tabloids recently reported that the 44-year-old Li Chen has found a new love recently, and that he and the 52-year-old Yan Ni have supposedly confirmed their relationship.
The news pointed out that Li and Yan met through mutual friends and became close due to their shared interest in surfing and skiing. There were also photos supposedly of the two playing sports together.
The news immediately became a trending topic on Weibo, with many questioning the romance seeing the age gap between the two.
On 20 September, however, the respective studios of both stars took to Weibo to deny the rumour in similar fashion by sharing screenshots of the articles and putting the word "fake" in red bold letters across it.
Prior to Yan Ni, Li was engaged to actress Fan Bingbing. However, the two ended their engagement in the midst of Fan's tax evasion scandal.
