The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority says it's cancelling plans to reduce service levels after successfully recruiting physicians and nurse practitioners.

On Monday, Erin Griffiths, the health authority's chief executive officer, confirmed in an email that the reductions — originally planned for July and August — won't be necessary any longer.

The news follows a public notice from the health authority on June 20 that a lack of health care staff would lead to reduced services.
