At least four people have died after Typhoon Goni made landfall in the Philippines on November 1, local authorities have said.

Hundreds of thousands of people were evacuated from the typhoon’s path at the weekend, with warnings of torrential rainfall, flash flooding, and landslides.

Reported to be the strongest storm of the year in the region, local forecasters said the typhoon was weakening after making landfall on Sunday and was over the West Philippine Sea. Credit: @jennnierosity via Storyful
