At Least 12 Dead After Fuel Tanker Collides With Bus in Mexico

At least 12 people died and eight were injured in a traffic collision on a highway in Salinas Victoria, Mexico, in the early morning of Thursday, March 11, local media reported.

Nuevo Leon Gov Jaime Rodriguez said a loaded fuel tanker collided with a bus.

The truck, loaded with 40 thousand liters of diesel, caught fire and engulfed the bus, which had overturned, trapping some passengers, local media said.

Video shared by local firefighter Israel Mendez shows fire crews trying to douse the large fire from the truck and bus, before a second video shows the burnt wreckage of both vehicles with a large amount of emergency workers on scene. Credit: @israelmendez83 via Storyful
