Lea Salonga is surprised but happy for Sarah Geronimo's marriage
24 Feb – Lea Salonga recently admitted that she was shocked over news that Sarah Geronimo has married her fiancé Matteo Guidicelli in secret.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the musical star who worked with Geronimo on the show, "The Voice: Kids", stated that nobody knew anything about the plan before it happened.
"None of us knew. None of us from the show, from the network, but I'm happy for her," she said.
Salonga stated that for the couple to be able to pull it off was a great feat.
"That is a crowning achievement, they knew who to trust," she said, adding that Guidicelli really loves Geronimo.
The two stars, who have been together since 2014, held a secret wedding at the Shangri-La Fort in Bonifacio Global City on 20 February, just after Geronimo finished her work on "The Voice" the same day.
Other celebrities have also taken to social media to congratulate the couple, including Gretchen Ho, who wrote, "Love wins", and Christian Bautista, who expressed, "Kat and I are happy for the both of you! And we are here for you."
