Lava Fountain Shoots From Sicily's Mount Etna

Fountains of red lava shot into the sky in Sicily overnight on March 9-10, as Mount Etna continued to erupt.

This footage, recorded in Zafferana Etnea, about five kilometers southeast of Mount Etna, shows lava spewing from the volcano in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Local reports said the lava fountain flowed from the southeast crater until 4:30 am local time.
