Lau Dan on glove issue: Let TVB handle the matter!

18 Sep – Veteran actor Lau Dan has nothing much to say regarding the recent controversy surrounding his long-running show, "Come Home Love - Lo and Behold" and the rumours that one of the directors has been forced to resign due to the issue.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was asked about the incident - in which a pair of cleaning gloves were arranged in one of the scenes of a previous episode to symbolise the Hong Kong protests' "5 demands, not 1 less" gesture, stated that the whole matter has been handed over to TVB.

As for the cast, they will not say much about it.

"I didn't even notice it on the day of filming or when I was watching the episode. I only found out about it after seeing the photos [on the news]," he said.

Asked if he was worried about the whole thing, Lau shook his head and said that the company will handle it well.

"The incident did not affect the atmosphere between us and the crew at all," he added.

On the other hand, co-star Koni Lui stated that the most important thing for an actor is to do a good job and not think of things they can't control.
