Lashana Lynch Wants to Remake “Bridesmaids” with Issa Rae, Keke Palmer, Goldie Hawn and More (Exclusive)
The 'Bob Marley: One Love' actress pitched her dream cast for a hypothetical 'Bridesmaids' remake
Lashana Lynch has a dream cast in mind for a Bridesmaids remake.
The Bob Marley: One Love actress, 36, has previously expressed love for the Oscar-nominated 2011 comedy starring Kristen Wiig, and in an interview with PEOPLE, Lynch named who she would want to star in the hypothetical reimagining.
"I better really think quick because I see interviews like this all the time, and then five years later they're like, 'It actually happened' — but no pressure," says Lynch. "Okay, why did Goldie Hawn just come into my mind?"
She then picked Issa Rae, Meryl Streep, and the "hilarious" Keke Palmer, plus wants to bring back original Bridesmaids cast members like Rebel Wilson and Maya Rudolph, whom she calls "incredible."
Jokes Lynch, "I mean, it can also be a trilogy!"

Lynch, known for roles in Captain Marvel, Matilda (2022) and No Time to Die, most recently starred as Rita Marley in the biopic One Love. When she's not acting, the British star says she likes to keep a "really quiet" life.
"I surround myself with quiet, whether it be in my garden — I have a million plants, too many plants still growing. I tend to them a lot," she says. "I have a dog. We play a lot and just chill. And I try and hang with my friends as much as possible."
The actress says this relaxation time is easier said than done because of her busy filming schedule. "I've been out of the country for the last nine months. So, yeah, it's challenging to find that kind of coming back to self," she explains.
"But what I do really enjoy, actually, is being in conversation with my friends, really expressing what my time has been so that I can almost task my friends to be my anchor when I don't feel like I'm as balanced as I should be."

She also likes to unwind with good TV or movies after immersing herself in a character for months at a time.
"A lot of my post-process is quieting my mind to actually think about what I think about something, because you've been thinking for someone else for so long that everything just becomes very laser focused and zoned in on something," she says. "I just want nothing. I want just complete chill, a cup of tea, a good show, and really diving into: am I watching this show, or is a show watching me?"
