Lasers and makeshift shields used as protesters clash with police in Colombian capital

Protesters used lasers and makeshift metal shields in their latest round of clashes with police in Bogota. Footage from May 26 shows the demonstrators pointing bright green lasers at the officers as well as using large sheets of metal to protect themselves. Demonstrators have been taking to the streets since April 28 after the right-wing government of Ivan Duque proposed raising taxes amid the third wave of COVID-19.
