Large Waterspout Forms Near Vancouver Airport

A large waterspout was seen near Vancouver International Airport on November 6, as Environment Canada issued a rare tornado watch for parts of the city’s metropolitan areas.

The Canadian weather bureau said a meso-low was producing lightning strikes and widespread rain showers in the area at the time.

Environment Canada advised residents to “be prepared for severe weather” and “take cover immediately” if threatening weather approaches.
