Large Smoke Plume Wafts From Chemical Plant Fire in Omaha

A large plume of black smoke wafted over Omaha, Nebraska, as firefighters battled a blaze at a chemical plant on May 30.

This footage, filmed by Scott Blackwell, shows dark smoke filling the sky, as flames engulfed the Nox-Crete plant in downtown Omaha. Loud bangs can also be heard.

The Omaha Fire Department recommended evacuations for residents near the blaze, due to “smoke from the fire”.
