Large Fire Prompts Response From 100 Firefighters in Yorkshire's Bradford

Around 100 firefighters were battling a large fire that caused travel disruption and prompted school closures in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on November 16.

The fire, which broke out in the East Bowling area of the city in the early hours of Monday, disrupted all train services at Bradford Interchange – a transport hub close to the fire.

“Around 8,000 tires and railway equipment are at risk from the fire which is around 50 meters from the railway,” the train operator Northern Rail wrote on Twitter.

Local reports said three schools in the city cancelled classes.
