A crocodile between 3 and 4 meters long was seen on the banks of the River Fitzroy in Queensland, with footage of the enormous reptile posted to Facebook by Rockhampton Regional Council on January 6.
The council warned that it was seen “just 20 meters away from where people had been spotted fishing illegally a few days before.”
Acting Mayor of Rockhampton Neil Fisher said, “Although this crocodile has not displayed any threatening behaviour we are urging people to be vigilant and practice crocwise safety.”
