LaplandUK: When is it and how can you get tickets?
Tickets to popular Christmas experience LaplandUK will soon be released to the public – nine months before the actual festivities.
The four-and-a-half hour event, which is inspired by six best-selling books, opens for a limited six-week run in the build-up to Christmas each year, and brings together the scale and detail of film production, and the essence of live theatre, to reimagine the untold story of Father Christmas.
Last year, Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch, Millie Mackintosh, and Katherine Jenkins were among the famous faces to have visited LaplandUK. And since the opening in 2007, it has welcomed more than 1,000,000 people, with the likes of William and Kate, the Beckhams, Tom Hardy, and Elton John also visiting.
It also sold out within hours last year, so you'll need to be quick if you want tickets. Here's what you need to know about LaplandUK and how to visit.
When and where is LaplandUK?
LaplandUK 2024 will take place between Monday, November 9 to Tuesday, December 24, in LaplandUK’s mythical homeland, which is located in the depths of Whitmoor Forest on the Crown Estate, Ascot.
How can you get tickets and how much are they?
Tickets for LaplandUK will be in high demand. Last year’s event saw more than 200,000 guests join the virtual waiting room in anticipation of the ticket release, with all tickets sold in a matter of hours.
The 2024 ticket announcement will be made on LaplandUK's Instagram on Sunday, March 10. Fans will be able to join the virtual waiting room via the ticketing platform from 10am on March 18. At noon, each guest will receive a randomly allocated place in the queue.
Tickets will be available for purchase for dates spanning November 9 to December 24.
Prices for tickets will range from £60 to £190pp depending on the chosen date, with more premium prices for weekends, and those closer to Christmas Eve.
Once the booking is complete, guests will receive an email confirmation, followed by personalised freezable invitations for each ‘Small Folk’, which will arrive by post.
What’s included and who is it suitable for?
LaplandUK is perfect for families with young children. On your chosen date, you will be assisting at the Toy Factory Elves to make a toy for Father Christmas’s sleigh, decorating gingerbread with Mother Christmas, ice-skating, and the magical finale: a visit to Father Christmas, who will present you with a husky toy.
On departure, the toy that the Small Folk made during their visit to the Toy Factory is discreetly given to Big Folk, along with a thank you note, to continue the story and share with their Small Folk on Christmas Day.
There’s also food and drink available at the Elven Bazaar and the Elven Village, with Pumpernickle’s Restaurant and Pixie Mixie’s Sweet Shop.
Is LaplandUK suitable for those with disabilities?
The event aims to be fully accessible, and is within a mile of Ascot Station, with free parking on site. A full accessibility guide can be found here.
