Lala Kent celebrates becoming national bestselling author with breast augmentation

Former Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is making a change to celebrate the release of the paperback version of her memoir, Give Them Lala.

The new mom, 31, who recently split from her fiancé Randall Emmett following allegations of infidelity on his part, appeared on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast with David Yontef on Monday, in which she explained that she is having breast augmentation to honor her recent success.

"I want to celebrate. I'm going into surgery to have my boobies done on Friday," she said. "I'll be down for a little bit, but the second that I'm up and at 'em, I will be taking my new boobs out to celebrate my national bestseller book."

Kent said that she has wanted her breasts redone for "a while," and felt that months after giving birth to her daughter, Ocean, was a great time.

"When I was pregnant [with my daughter, Ocean] ... they were so huge and amazing! Other moms told me, 'That baby's gonna suck the life out of them,'" she explained. "Everything sits a little differently after you give birth and feed your baby. So, I'm just ready to get them up there, maybe a little bigger. I'm gonna get my groove back."

This isn't the first time Kent has gone under the knife. In 2018, she told People that she "loves" plastic surgery and revealed she previously had her breasts done. However, she admitted she does have some regrets when it comes to the aesthetic tweaks she has made in the past.

"So I've had every part of my face injected," Kent shared. "The things I've decided to stop doing is the filler in the cheekbones, the Botox above the eyebrow and the lips because I just feel like I’m a walking cat-duck. It looks like a cat and a duck had a baby and that's me."

The author explained that now she will only get filler in her jawline, chin and forehead — but that she doesn't judge anyone else for their choices.

"If you like injections and you like plastic surgery, I feel like, if you feel comfortable and you feel beautiful, then do you boo," she told People.

Kent is not the first celebrity to speak out about having breast surgery in order to feel their best. One Tree Hill alum Jana Kramer, who last year split from husband Mike Caussin upon learning of his extramarital affairs, joked that she got a "divorce body" before she officially decided to end her marriage.

"Two weeks before I found everything out, I got a boob job," Kramer told Extra. "I didn't plan on this to happen. Now that I'm healed, I'm like, 'I got a divorce body, OK?'"
