Containment of the Lake Fire in Los Angeles County, California, grew to 38 percent by Tuesday, August 18, fire officials said.
As of the afternoon of August 18, the Lake Fire has burned more than 21,115 acres and threatened 4,570 structures, according to fire reports. CAL Fire wrote: “Firefighters are facing steep and rugged terrain, high temperatures, critically dry fuels, and drought-stressed trees.”
