Lai Lok Yi has no issue with son's popularity online

12 Feb – While most celebrities would prefer their children be kept away from the limelight, TVB actor Lai Lok Yi is of the opinion that there is no harm on showing off his son on social media.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who recently spoke about his boy Siu Chun Kai, stated that he has no issue with his son becoming a minor celebrity on Instagram, saying that fans often requested him to share Siu Chun Kai's photo online.

"It's the digital age, so how long can you keep them from being exposed? I would rather people look at him until they get bored and the media will not be interested in snapping his photos anymore. When it loses the novelty, it will be safer when we're outside," he said.

Speaking about taking care of his son, who is turning two in two months, Lai admitted that it has been tougher and more challenging now that he is able to move around himself.

"Even keeping up with him is tiring. When we go out for a meal, we don't really enjoy our food since we would be too busy keeping an eye on him," he said with a laugh.

Despite the challenge, Lai said that it did not deter his plan to have another baby in the Year of the Pig.

"My wife and I agree that our son should have a sibling so that he will not be as lonely when we're not here anymore," he said.
