Lady Gaga has been lost in Michael Polansky's brown eyes since 2019, and it appears their relationship only gets stronger and more adorable with time. From a 2020 New Year's Eve kiss heard 'round the world to an engagement confirmation at the 2024 Paris Olympics, all eyes are on this sweet couple—especially considering their upcoming collaboration on Joker: Folie à Deux.
“I just love my fiancé so much," Gaga said of Polanksy, who is co-executive producing the film's companion album, Harlequin. "He's my best friend. He's my partner, and I just feel like when you are with your best friend, everything changes.”
More recently, after she won the Grammy for best pop/duo performance alongside Bruno Mars, Gaga thanked Polansky. When accepting the award, she said, "Michael, I love you so much, all your support and love every single day."
What seemed like an unlikely pairing—a tech entrepreneur and a global pop star—has made for a fairytale romance. Although they try their best to keep things private, clearly the pair can't help but gush about one another, even if it's just to a friend. A source told Entertainment Tonight in August 2021 that Polansky "loves Lady Gaga, but he’s in love with Stefani,” referring to the pop mogul by her real name, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. The source continued, “He loves the theatrics and her artistry, but he is very happy being out of the spotlight and letting her shine...Michael is her North Star."

Gaga's beau is a big man in tech. Polansky is the CEO of the Parker Group, which runs the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and the Parker Foundation, an organization that supports life sciences, global public health, civic engagement, and the arts. He co-founded both organizations with Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster and Facebook. Polansky graduated from Harvard University in 2006 with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science, per his LinkedIn.
All About Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky's Relationship
They Started Dating in 2019
Gaga has her mom to thank for her first encounter with Polansky, whom she met at a party in 2019.
"My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’" Gaga said in an interview with Vogue. "I could never have imagined that my mom…found the most perfect person for me?”
Soon after that party (which took place in December), the pair made waves when they were captured kissing at a 2020 New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas. A source revealed to E!News on February 1, 2020, that they had been seeing each other since before the holiday season and the singer was "crazy about him."
The source continued, “They’ve been out and about in Los Angeles and spending a lot of time at her house. She’s taking him everywhere she goes, and they don’t want to be [apart].”

Two days later, the "Just Dance" hitmaker hard launched their relationship on Instagram with a PDA-filled photo. In the snap, Polansky gazes at Gaga lovingly while wrapping his arms around her, as she sits on his lap. "We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best! ❤️" she wrote in the caption. While in Florida, they also enjoyed Super Bowl LIV.
They Rarely Make Public Appearances
Gaga made it clear just how smitten she is with the businessman, especially in the beginning of their relationship. The pop star took to Instagram with several posts that showcased their love, including a pouty selfie of them together on Valentine's Day. "Happy Valentine’s Day!! 'Babe, do I have lipstick all-over me?'😂#valentines ❤️💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💕🧚♀️happy v-day to all my monsters!!! I love you!!! ❤️😘🎈" Months later, in January 2021, she shared a photo of them kissing through their COVID-19 masks.

While Gaga still surprises her 56 million followers with couple pics every now and again, the pair tend to keep things low-key. However, ever the supportive boyfriend, Polansky has stepped out to support his lady at several events including her national anthem performance at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the 2022 BAFTAS (where Rebel Wilson jokingly handed him a gold bra for "Best Plus One"), and the 2022 Grammy Awards. The two also enjoyed a rare PDA-filled date night at a Saturday Night Live after-party in October 2023.
Most recently, Polansky joined Gaga in Paris to support her Opening Ceremony performance; two days later, the pair were spotted in the audience of the women's gymnastics qualifying round.

Fans Have Speculated Certain Songs Are About Him
Fans speculate that Polansky is the muse behind Gaga's tune "Stupid Love," a catchy track that chronicles how it feels to be in a happy relationship, released the same month they went public. They have a point: just a few days after the drop, Gaga posted a selfie of herself and Polansky looking so loved up with the caption, "I’ve got a STUPID love💕."
Regardless, Polansky is a big supporter of Gaga's creative endeavors. “She’s someone who is happiest when she’s creating," he told Vogue. "It’s one of the qualities I love most about her.”
They're a Philanthropic Couple
The two lovers seem to have huge hearts, and not just for each other. One bonding point between the two appears to be philanthropy. As early as one month after they went public, Gaga and Polansky collaborated on her benefit broadcast One World: Together at Home, which helped frontline workers fighting COVID.
Their Plans for the Future
Despite the occasional swooning and cute pap pics, Lady Gaga and Polansky have kept their relationship very private, especially when it comes to marriage. However, wedding speculation reached a peak in April 2024 when the House of Gucci star was spotted with a large oval diamond ring on that finger. A few months later, it was finally confirmed: the two lovebirds were officially engaged.
The news didn't come as a surprise to fans who have heard Gaga speak lovingly about Polansky for years now. For example, in an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show to discuss mental health and her therapy app Braver, she gushed about her man, saying, “With Born This Way Foundation, my mother, Cynthia Germanotta, and our co-founder Maya [Enista Smith], who I love so very much—they are working with my, the love of my life on something for mental health."
Following that, Gaga continued to speak about "the love of her life" in an interview for the October issue of Vogue, in which she said, “The missing piece in my life was having real love.”
Their Thoughts on Kids
Raising children with Polansky seems to be top of mind for Gaga now that the couple are engaged. In an interview with Buzzfeed Canada, the pop star spoke of what she hopes to manifest in the next 15 years: “You know, I’m so happy to be in love, and I’m so excited to have a family," she replied. "So, that’s definitely number one.”
That wasn't the first time Gaga spoke of wanting to become a parent, of course. Back in May 2020, she expressed a similar sentiment in an interview with InStyle: “I will say I am very excited to have kids. I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”
