After earning an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of aspiring singer Ally in Oscar-winning drama A Star is Born (she also won one for Best Original Song for 'Shallow'), Lady Gaga has lined up her next acting role.
The 'Rain on Me' hitmaker is set to star opposite Brad Pitt in upcoming action thriller Bullet Train, according to Collider.
The movie centres on a group of assassins who find out that each of their missions have something in common while travelling on a fast-moving train in Tokyo.
Details on her character remain under wraps for now, though it's reported Gaga has signed on for a supporting role rather than a lead.
The movie is based on Kotaro Isaka's Japanese novel Maria Beetle and directed by David Leitch, whose previous works include Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.
It will also feature performances from Joey King (The Lie), Aaron Taylor Johnson (Tenet), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Brian Tyree Henry (If Beale Street Could Talk), Andrew Koji (Warrior), Masi Oka and Knives Out's Michael Shannon.
Throughout her career on screen, Gaga has bagged a golden globe for her villainous turn in American Horror Story: Hotel, and appeared in smaller roles in movies such as Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Machete Kills.
She's also due to pop up in Ridley Scott's Gucci in 2021 where she'll play Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of former boss of the fashion brand Gucci, Maurizio Gucci. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Adam Driver are also on-board.
