Kylie Jenner Resurrects the Bowl Cut for Her New Beauty Launch
The Kylie Cosmetics founder's Precision Pout Lip Liner drops in 10 shades on December 6
Kylie Jenner, 26, is rocking a mod hairstyle for her beauty brand’s latest release.
In photos Jenner shared on Instagram, the beauty mogul introduced the new Precision Pout Lip Liner to the world — and with it, an edgy bowl cut.
Jenner’s hair hid most of her face in the photos, leaving only her recognizable pout uncovered. She wore a fitted black dress — featuring a high leg slit — and red nails that match her lips.
“introducing PRECISION POUT 👄,” Jenner captioned the images. “our new ultra-precise wooden lip liners are designed to sculpt, define and contour lips, for perfect lip lines and a fuller-looking pout. 10 shades launch december 6 @kyliecosmetics”
Jenner’s comment section was filled with fans praising the bold look, with one commenter writing “I love how Kylie Cosmetics went from cutesy to high fashion! I see the growth ❤️”
Other fans in the comments likened her to singer Sia, whose signature style covers most of her face.
In another campaign image Jenner shared on Instagram, she posed in a ultra-short bob with bangs, and rocked a mauve lip.
“These lip liners have been a secret staple in my makeup kit for a while – and I’m so excited to share them with everyone," Jenner said in a press release.
"Our lip liners have always been a fan-favorite, and this new formula is the perfect product for sculpting and defining lips," she added. "The formula gives enough time to blend and diffuse while also being longwearing. I top it off with a gloss or lipstick for a perfect contour and fuller-looking lip.”
Jenner recently revealed that when her beauty business first launched in 2015, she faced many skeptics — including her mom Kris Jenner, 68. Speaking to Jennifer Lawrence, 33, for Interview magazine, Jenner said that “proving people wrong was a challenge.”
“It was me and my mom and we never made a makeup line,” she told Lawrence. “We didn’t know where to start. We didn’t have anyone helping us. And my mom thought I was going to be stuck with lip kits in my garage for the rest of my life.” On the contrary, the lip kits sold out almost immediately.

“I think it started because I just wanted big, fat, juicy lips, and I just wanted that illusion that I had fuller lips,” Jenner said in the interview, explaining the origins of her makeup technique.
Eight years later, Jenner was recently named WSJ. Magazine’s Brand Innovator of the Year.
