KV SABAH SHINES AT INNOVATION COMPETITION IN THAILAND

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 6 (Bernama) -- The Sabah Kolej Vokasional (KV) team won two gold medals at the 2020 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2020) which ended today.

The Kolej Vokasional team comprising KV Keningau, KV Likas and KV Tawau also took home three silver, three bronze and a special award.

 Team co-ordinator Dr Sirhajwan Idek said the team comprised 11 members including seven students who took part in six innovation projects in the competition which began on Feb 2.

Shirjahwan, who is KV Keningau's Head of Research and Innovation, said KV Keningau presented four innovations, namely a trolley jack, wheel puller and adjustable liners that facilitate maintenance of vehicles and petrol filling support tools.

He said KV Keningau won a gold, a silver and two bronze medals.

SABAH-COLLEGE 2 (LAST) KOTA KINABALU

 

KV Likas won two silver medals with the key switch innovation capable of automatically turning on and off the source of electricity, he told Bernama today.

He said KV Tawau won one gold medal, one silver and one special award through the innovation of vehicle brake light sensors.

The KV Likas team comprised two lecturers; Sulaiman Ibrahim and Idham Shukri Isaac and two students; Elpray Jamson and M. Khairie Akram.

KV Keningau was represented by a lecturer Amirullah Abdul Karim and four students; Herichller Wong, Syahmi Zunurrayn, Vielsone Dell and Brandon Athansius while KV Tawau comprised lecturer, Suherman Andi Tunru and a student M. Firdaus Abdul Jalil.
