Kristin Cavallari Is 'Dipping My Toe in the Dating Pool' 5 Weeks After Mark Estes Split — and Says Next Boyfriend 'Is Gonna Be My Husband'

Kristin Cavallari is getting back out there — but, she's got a lot more rules for dating this time around.

The 37-year-old is still fresh off her September breakup with TikTok star Mark Estes. Yet, as she starts "dipping my toe back in the dating pool," Cavallari said she is looking for someone totally different now.

"Here's my thing. I think I'm just so f---ing over Hollywood in general," she said on the Nov. 5 episode of her Let's Be Honest podcast. "I'm having people reach out to me right now, and I've had a couple, like, big people in Hollywood reach out to me... But there is nothing in me that wants to go out with these people. Whereas 3 years ago, I would have been like, 'Okay. Yeah.'"

Now, Cavallari said that she wants someone who is her age — Estes was 13 years her junior — and preferably someone who is not in the public eye.

"I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker, but I am not looking to date anyone in entertainment," she said. "And, like, I will never date anyone from the DMs ever again because it attracts the wrong type of guy."

She's also dating to marry this time around. "I'm not kidding, though. I'm telling you right now... My next boyfriend is gonna be my next husband. Okay? I'm already putting that out there.  I can't keep dating. Like, I am dating, but, like, I can't keep doing it."

After laying out some of the expectations she has for future relationships, the Laguna Beach alum teased fans with some details about a man she's been casually seeing for the last few weeks. She nicknamed him "Cody" for privacy reasons.

"He's not on social media. He's a businessman, and I love that," she said. "That's why I just think, like, moving forward, that's what I need. Not someone who's in the public, someone who has a lot going on."

Cavallari said she's "really wanting someone older who I can, like, learn and grow from," and that Cody is her same age but "feels a lot older to me" — in a good way. "That's what I'm into."

Another "deal breaker" Cavallari named was that she wants to date someone "who can't gain anything from me."

"I just need someone who's successful so that nothing in my life is a threat," she said. "That's been an issue with me with men since I was 18, by the way. Like, my boyfriend, when I was 19, I made more money than him, and that was a huge insecurity for him. And he was, like, 10 years older than me."

"That's why I can't — the DMs are off because that attracts that type of guy," she added.

Cavallari did briefly mention her recent breakup during the episode, too, as she admitted, "I was sad about my last breakup," and her friend Justin Anderson said that was the "most sad" he's ever seen her, to which she agreed.

For now, though, she said, "This is my single era. And like I said, my next boyfriend is my future husband. So I am like, okay, well, we need to have some more fun."
