The deal runs December 31 through January 3.

Of all years to treat yourself to a doughnut, this one seems like a pretty good contender. And of all years to treat yourself to two dozen doughnuts, we're going to go ahead and say it would be this one, too. Kale and collards will come, but for now, let there be Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Well, fellow sweet tooths, you're in luck. The North Carolina born-and-based doughnut chain will be celebrating the new year by selling two Original Glazed dozens for only $12 on December 31 through January 3. Dubbed the "Four Days of Glaze," the promotion will be available via pickup, drive-thru, and in-shop at participating Krispy Kreme locations nationwide, and guests can purchase up to two of the deals per day. (That's a lot of doughnuts: If you purchase the deal twice on all four days, we're talking 192 doughnuts.) FYI: This offer is not valid through their nationwide delivery program, which Krispy Kreme launched earlier this year. Having just come off the high of the limited-time only gingerbread doughnut offerings at Krispy Kreme, we're looking forward to another excuse to visit the much-adored doughnut empire.

Since we're thinking two dozen doughnuts may be about a dozen too many for us to polish off in our own household, we think this deal is an excellent opportunity to score a dozen doughnuts to leave outside your neighbors' door, gift to your doorman, or surprise an essential worker in your life this holiday season. We also think we'll be picking up a dozen for the beloved teacher who's gone the extra mile this year, the delivery person who got all of our holiday gifts delivered safely to our homes this season, and the friend who could use a little pick-me-up. Those 192 doughnuts don't seem like doughnut overload, after all.
