Koala's Injuries 'Healing Nicely' After Dog Attack

A New South Wales rescue and rehabilitation service that focuses on the care of koalas shared footage on March 8 of one of their residents recovering nicely after she had been a victim of a “dog attack.”

Just north of Sydney, Port Stephens Koala Hospital provides a wildlife shelter for marsupials in need.

In this case, Brandy Hill Heather the koala had been severely injured in a dog attack, according to the hospital. Luckily, she is now doing great, and her injuries are “healing nicely.”

According to a Facebook post about her recovery, dedicated veterinary staff and volunteers are now monitoring her fitness.
