KNP Complex Fire Surpasses 40,000 Acres as Crews Fight for Containment

Firefighters continued to fight the KNP Complex Fire burning in California’s Sequoia National Park, as officials said the blaze reached 40,112 acres on Saturday, September 25.

A total of 1,729 crew members were responding to the lightning-induced wildfire, which has been burning since September 10.
