KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) closed lower today at US$17,060 a tonne on lack of demand for the metal, said a dealer.
He said the market was quiet as traders remained on the sidelines for the year-end holidays with the London Metal Exchange closed for Christmas and Boxing Day and reopening on Friday.
At the opening bell back home, bids and offer both stood at 20 tonnes while turnover improved to 20 tonnes from 17 tonnes on Thursday.
Market participants comprised traders from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Europe, Pakistan and Bangladesh as well as one local seller.
