Klopp out? Gossip says Liverpool discussing exit as Real target sensation Stefan Bajcetic
Liverpool have been looking at an alternative to Jurgen Klopp, according to one spurious report. And Real Madrid want to raid the Reds.
KLOPP LOSING FRIENDS AT LIVERPOOL?
Let’s start with quite the ‘exclusive’ claim from Caught Offside, who say they have sources within Liverpool claiming that even before the embarrassing 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid, there was talk of replacing Jurgen Klopp in the midst of the worst of all seasons.
‘One source inside the club has described feelings toward Klopp as ‘samesy’ and in need of ‘freshening up’ with ‘a lot of players looking like they’ve lost their appetite’.’
Who could replace him? Well, this report suggests Julian Naglesmann (we think they mean Nagelsmann), who would apparently ‘jump at the chance’ to replace Klopp even though he is in charge of Bayern Munich. But Klopp would not be ‘sacked’; the club would give him the chance to resign out of respect.

REAL COMING FOR LIVERPOOL AGAIN
As if Real Madrid have not hurt Liverpool enough, there is now talk of them being interested in the Reds’ 18-year-old midfielder Stefan Bajcetic, who is confusingly Spanish.
Fichajes claim that ‘both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have been closely following his evolution to see if he is an interesting option to boost their rotation in midfield’. Both clubs are in the process of freshening up their midfield and Bajcetic – expected to get a call-up for the full Spanish squad next month – could be an option.
But any credibility is lost when they relate that Bajcetic ‘has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2027 and his market price does not exceed one million euros’. Good luck getting him for 50 times that price, dastardly La Liga clubs.
MADD ABOUT THE BOY
Newcastle United will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City for Leicester City star James Maddison this summer, according to reports.
The Magpies have been targeting the England international for some time, offering £50m for him last summer. The bid was rejected, however, with the Foxes keen to hold out for £60m.
However, with multiple top Premier League clubs in the race for his signature, there could still end up being a bidding war and thus a high price for the midfielder’s services.
This is according to Football Insider, who claim that Newcastle, Spurs and City are set to battle it out for Maddison, with Leicester willing to cash in.
They suggest that the Foxes would be looking for a fee between £60m and £70m for their player – even higher than the bid they demanded last summer, despite his contract situation.
