King Charles is showing his support for victims of the attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class last month in northern England. On Tuesday, the monarch visited Southport to meet with families and honor the victims of the tragedy. He arrived at the town hall, where he waved to onlookers and observed tributes to those who had been killed, which included flowers, balloons, and stuffed animals. Once inside the town hall, Charles met with the families of victims and several survivors. People adds that the king will also meet with the families of the deceased on Wednesday, August 21.

Three girls (Bebe King, 6; Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7; and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9) were murdered during the mass stabbing that took place on July 29. Multiple children and two adults were also injured during the attack. An 18-year-old man, who was 17 at the time, has been arrested and charged with the murder of the three girls.

Taylor Swift herself, who returned to London this weekend for her Eras Tour, also invited survivors of the attack and their families backstage during her shows at Wembley Stadium, per Variety. Although Swift did not publicly announce the meetings, Sami Foster, mother of survivors Hope and Autumn, posted a TikTok with images documenting their meet-and-greet. Foster started off her caption of the post with a lyric from Swift's song "Cardigan."

“You drew stars around my scars," she wrote alongside the video montage that was set to her song, "Enchanted." “The biggest thank you to @Taylor Swift and her mum for making the most magical night possible for us all 🫶🏻 thank you for bringing Hope & Autumn pure happiness last night & always 💗💗 #taylorswift #taylornation #erastour #swifties#andreaswift."

While it's unclear how many families Swift met with, the publication notes that Swift invited and spoke with others affected by the event in addition to the Fosters. She also also reportedly reached out to the families of the three girls who were killed.
