"Shock factor?" Say less, Kimberly.
Just days after SKIMS nearly broke the internet by introducing its first full line of offerings for men (Nick Bosa stans were basically hyperventilating at the shots), Kim Kardashian is giving us even more reason to talk. Today, in what appeared to be a parody video, but is definitely not, the mom and mogul introduced a bra with built-in faux nipples, giving Sex and the City fans a major throwback moment. Back in the season 4 episode "Baby, Talk Is Cheap," Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall) declared that nipples were in and even gave her friend Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) a pair to test drive.
"Nipples are huge right now. Open any magazine! It's not that cold. Those girls are either tweaking or they're wearing these," Jones said before showing off floppy silicon nipples, which Miranda slipped into her blouse right away, earning her fair share of looks from the people at the bar. Kardashian's version isn't quite so high-maintenance, with the nipples being built into the bra. TMZ confirmed that the item in question isn't just some sort of elaborate joke and shared a series of images of Kim modeling the SKIMS Ultimate Nipple Bra.
"COMING OCT 31: THE ULTIMATE NIPPLE BRA. Perfect fullness with a built-in, faux nipple for shock factor – meet the newest innovation to our Ultimate Bra collection on Tuesday, October 31 at 9AM PT / 12PM ET. Join the waitlist for early access to shop," she wrote alongside the clip.
But it's not all fun and games. According to Kardashian, a portion of the proceeds from this very special bra will go to charity. "In addition to our investment in advancing carbon removal, SKIMS is proud to donate," she continued. "10% of sales from our SKIMS Ultimate Nipple Bra, as a one-time donation, to @1percentftp — a global network with thousands of businesses and environmental organizations working together to support people and the planet."
"So no matter how hot it is, you'll always look cold," Kim says in the clip. "Some days are hard, but, these nipples are harder."
It's not the first time SKIMS has paid homage to Sam Jones. Earlier this year, Cattrall modeled for the brand, self-styling her looks and feeling "fucking fabulous" in the process.
"When they asked me to do the campaign, I just thought, Wow, this is one of those moments when it just feels right because the product was right, the timing was right. I loved the photographer, Vanessa Beecroft, and it was all very relaxed; it was all women on set," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "I got to pick what I wanted to be photographed in and I picked a black mid-thigh bodysuit, which was really comfortable. I wore a black long-sleeved dress that I loved. I knew that I would be going on the cruise so I brought all the beautiful products with me and I’ve been wearing them with just a little sweater. They’ve become staples already."
