KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — Actress and singer Kilafairy recently told off social media users who criticised her figure-hugging dress. She asked them to unfollow her on Instagram if they are unhappy.

The controversy erupted after the 30-year-old shared her pictures at the '100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs 2022' event in which she wore a black outfit complete with a hijab.

However, social media users were quick to point out that instead of covering her body, the dress actually showed off her body shape.

Instagram user @a.zh4 said it would be better if Kilafairy do not don the headscarf.

Another user @elliekazuha said Kilafairy was slowly starting to wear clothes that reveal parts that should not be shown.

Meanwhile, @ruby.ahmad wrote that it was not right to wear clothing that shows one's body shape. "It is not appropriate especially if someone wears the headscarf."

An angry Kilafairy retorted and asked those who are unhappy with her dressing to unfollow her social media account.

“Only Allah knows my journey. Are you god? No? So byeeeee,” responded Kilafairy, whose real name is Syakila Nisa Jahangir Khan.

Prior to donning the hijab, Kilafairy is known to be a daring person in her dressing.

In 2019, the Nafas singer received backlash when she shared a picture of her wearing a skin-tight snake print jumpsuit.

She, however, ignored the criticism and defiantly said she would do and wear what she wants.

“If people want to criticise me, be my guest because it won’t have an effect on me,” she said then.
