The rapper stars alongside Idris Elba in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" spinoff show.

From stepping out on the red carpet to walking down the aisle: Kid Cudi is officially engaged.

The “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper, 40, used his latest public appearance to subtly announce his engagement to Lola Abecassis Sartore. The duo were photographed together on April 17 while attending the premiere for the Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff series, Knuckles, where they debuted their relationship and Sartore’s glittering engagement ring. Later that night, they shared photos and confirmed the good news.

"My fiancé Lola and me at the Knuckles premiere,” Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, wrote on Instagram. “This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me and im so excited to share this news w u all.”

He added, “Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect.”

Sartore shared a post of her own — including a special shoutout for Sega’s brooding echidna.

“I never thought I could love someone this much! So proud to call you my fiancé Scott,” she wrote. “I can’t wait for you all to see this amazing man in the new Knuckles show!”

Responding to Sartore’s post, Cudi commented, “U have me forever.” Cudi stars in the streaming series alongside Idris Elba (who voices the titular hero), Adam Pally, Cary Elwes, Tika Sumpter, and Stockard Channing.

Sartore later reposted the picture on her Instagram Story, adding, “The smiles on our faces says it all! Love you to the moon and back.” Cudi replied: “Love u more my angel baby.”

It’s unclear how long the couple have been together as the Knuckles premiere marks their first public outing but as recently as 2022, Cudi opened up about his desire to pursue a relationship and start a family.

“I want a girlfriend,” the rapper told Esquire at the time. “I need to be with somebody. Most people would think I enjoy being single, because I’m single a lot. But I’m a relationship man… My goal is to find someone. Soon, hopefully. And get married and have more kids.”

Cudi has one child, 14-year-old daughter Vada Mescudi, from a previous relationship.

After hitting the Knuckles premiere, the couple may be celebrating their engagement with yet another big event: Cudi announced on Tuesday that he would be joining the line-up for the second weekend of Coachella. "INSANO BOY IS COMIN," the rapper wrote on social media. He is also set to hit the road this summer for his Insano World Tour, following his ninth studio album of the same name, which dropped in January.
