Kevin Cheng has no comment about brother-in-law's paternity

24 Jun – Kevin Cheng has the best response to Jolam's recent words regarding his brother-in-law Derek Chan's paternity.

As reported on Oriental Daily, earlier, the controversial former attorney took to social media to share a photo of Derek and his father online, saying that he is challenging Derek to have a DNA test to prove that he is his father's son, noting the differences between them.

"If DNA comparison proves that you are farther and son, I will pay you HKD 1 million," he writes.

The post sparked the anger of many people, with many saying that one's family matters and relationships should not be put on the centre stage.

When asked about the brouhaha, Kevin, who is married to Derek's twin sister Grace Chan, expressed, "Everybody knows what his intentions are. For such a boring thing, no response is the best response. Once you answer, it will continue endlessly. Everybody has their own opinion."

Questions about Derek's looks have always been talked about since he joined the limelight due to him having mixed-race features. In a previous interview, the siblings' mother said that the two were more fair-skinned, but changed around their teenage years.

"Perhaps it's because my mother is Malaysian and has an Asian appearance," she said.
