Kentucky Voters Wait in Long Lines on Primary Day

Kentucky voters reported waiting in long lines on the morning of June 23 to cast ballots in primaries that have been heavily impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

This footage was taken outside a polling station located at Phil Moore Park in Warren County, Kentucky. Like most counties, there was only one polling station open in Warren County.

Results of the polling, which included primaries to decide a high-profile Democratic Senate candidate as well as several candidates for several congressional seats, were expected to be delayed due to the number of mail-in ballots cast.

Amy McGrath, a former fighter pilot who lost a Congressional race in 2018, was expected to hold off State Senator Charles Booker, whose campaign gained steam during anti-racism protests following the death of George Floyd.
