Kenny Kwan says outlook on life changed since pandemic

4 Jun – Singer-actor Kenny Kwan recently admitted that his outlook on life has changed since the outbreak of COVID-19 turned into a global pandemic.

In an interview with Mingpao, the singer-actor who was stranded in Malaysia for a week after filming of his new drama was halted due to the local government-imposed lockdown back in March, shared that being in quarantine for 14 days following his return made him realise how unimportant the things he had acquired through the years are.

"I look at all the clothes, the shoes, and socks... and I can't even go out to the streets. I don't need a pair of expensive shoes and beautiful clothes. I didn't need to have so many things. Your life is already complete without them," he said.

Kenny stated that he learned a lot of new things during the pandemic, including arranging his own timetable at home.

"I eat my breakfast at 9am, exercise at 10am, study at noon or watch my favourite show," he said.

Although he has learned not to pursue material things, Kenny said that he will continue to pursue new things in his career so to further develop himself as an artiste.

"The world is unpredictable, but we must continue to maintain our goals and do what we should do," he added.
