Kenneth Ma says no more meal gathering at TVB cafe

31 Mar – TVB actor Kenneth Ma admitted that having a meal after filming does not feel the same anymore, now that the company has set new rules for the food court situated inside TVB City in response to COVID-19.

As reported on Mingpao, in response to the government's new pandemic prevention measure that include the prohibition of mass gathering, TVB recently decided to enforce the rule around the company including the food court - which had since provided a smaller number of dining tables with only four seats per table.

The cafe also suspended the supply of side dishes, with only set meals available for the staff and actors.

Speaking to the media about the changes, Kenneth, who is currently filming the new drama, "Baby on Top", admitted that the breaks used to be the most fun time for him as the cast used to gather and have a meal together at the food court.

"For the time being, no large group of people can gather at the table. It is not as lively as before, and we can only order a plate of rice," he said.

However, the actor stressed that safety is paramount, and that he will always make sure to wear a mask and bring hand sanitiser with him everywhere he goes while at work.

When asked what he has been doing in his free time now that he can't do his usual activities, Kenneth smiled and said that he has been watching the reruns of "The Hippocratic Crush".
