Kelly Osbourne has said she’s “filled with so much gratitude it’s almost overwhelming” as she celebrates five months of sobriety.

The TV star quit drinking alcohol and taking drugs in 2017 but in April this year revealed that she had relapsed after staying sober for four years.

However, she has now been back on track for 154 days.

Osbourne celebrated the milestone on the same day she turned 37.

Sharing a snap of herself and her Twelve Steps progress on Instagram, she wrote: “Today marks my 37th birthday and I’m 5 months sober!!!

“I am filled with so much gratitude it’s almost overwhelming!”

The star announced in April that she had relapsed, telling her fans on Instagram: "Hey guys, so this is a little hard for me to talk about but I've always promised you that I'd always be honest with you about where I'm at and what's going on with my road to recovery.

"I relapsed.”

She went on: “I just want to let you know that I am sober today and I'm going to be sober tomorrow but I've learned it truly is just one day at a time and I just wanted to tell you guys the truth because I never ever want to lie to you."

Osbourne’s brother Jack has struggled with addiction too but earlier this year he celebrated 18 years of sobriety.

Their father, Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy, has also had a well-documented battle with addiction, but is now around eight years sober himself.
