Workplaces are, by and large, not equitable for women and people of color. In order for company cultures to not only hire a diverse team of employees but also support and nurture their growth, substantial changes need to be made.

In Keep Going, a six-part podcast series by MAKERS and broadcast by Seneca Women Podcast Network on iHEARTRadio, a series of conversations will tackle topics that companies are grappling with as they move to make this necessary progress. The conversations will include celebrity speakers and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) experts discussing issues female employees often face, as well as elucidating how companies and institutions, as different as Sony Music and Dartmouth College, are prioritizing and navigating DEI growth and progress.

Hosted by Seneca Women chief executive officer and co-founder Kim Azzarelli and guest-hosted by author, poet, and podcaster Amena Brown, each of the six episodes will feature a conversation with a high-profile speaker or speakers about a contemporary issue of concern to women, and of particular concern to women of color. The initial conversation will be followed by a discussion with a DEI expert about how particular companies and industries are making progress on the day’s topic. Topics will span what companies can do to create opportunities for women, LGBTQ people, and people of color; microaggressions in office and company settings; intersectionality; and how to bring your authentic self into your place of business.

Past speakers from the MAKERS conference, such as Luvvie Ajayi Jones, along with DEI experts like Vernā Myers from Netflix, Christy Haubegger from WarnerMedia, and Ella Bell Smith from Dartmouth, will offer key takeaways about what their companies and institutions are doing to make progress on the topics under discussion.

The podcast will run from May 5 through June 16, and provide an inside look on how DEI experts are working to make sure progress doesn't just stall out, but rather keeps going.
