Katie Price’s Good Morning Britain interview about her drink-driving conviction has sparked a flurry of complaints.

The star appeared on the ITV show earlier this month to discuss the September 2021 accident, saying that there were traumatic events that led up to her crashing her car under the influence of alcohol while disqualified.

The mother-of-five admitted she was "ashamed" of what had happened but asked people not to judge her.

However, it seems the interview didn’t go down that well with everyone and broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has now confirmed that it has received 53 complaints about the episode.

Ofcom confirmed to Yahoo that the complaints related to Price's interview.

Price, 43, escaped a jail sentence shortly before Christmas after pleading guilty to the driving offences.

Speaking on GMB, she said “the events leading up to it were very traumatic” and that it had also been traumatic afterwards.

She added: "There's reasons why I got in that car, my mental state, when I'm ready to talk about it all I'll talk about it.

"I feel ashamed about it, but it was all traumatic build-up to it all and the reasons I'm still dealing with now.

"I think people shouldn't judge people - there's always reasons. I'm seeing a therapist."
