Chris Pratt's wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, along with his Marvel co-stars Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr., took to their social media platforms last night to defend Pratt when users on Twitter and Instagram widely proclaimed him the worst of the four big Chrises in Hollywood. Pratt has often been grouped with other A-list, light brown-hair, light-eyed Chrises: Chris Evans, Chris Pine, and Chris Hemsworth.

Producer Amy Berg started the discussion over the weekend on Twitter, writing, "one has to go," alongside their photos. The comments to her post overwhelmingly suggested that Pratt needed to, in part because some suspect he may be a quiet Donald Trump supporter due to his decision to not participate in the Avengers fundraiser for Joe Biden and for a recent "insensitive" voting joke that drew criticism on social media. Pratt has not endorsed any candidate for the 2020 election; his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger has endorsed Joe Biden.

As Newsweek pointed out, Pratt said he didn't identify as either a Republican or Democrat in a 2017 Men's Fitness interview. "I was at church last night, and the pastor said, 'You want more friends? Be friendly,'” Pratt started. “I really feel there’s common ground out there that’s missed because we focus on the things that separate us. You’re either the red state or the blue state, the left or the right. Not everything is politics. And maybe that’s something I’d want to help bridge, because I don’t feel represented by either side. I do feel like I relate to everybody—to the struggles of people both out here and where I grew up. I feel like I could have a beer or a meal with just about anyone and find something to relate to."

E! posted about Berg's poll on its Instagram, and its commenters also suggested Pratt was the worst of the Chrises. That's where Schwarzenegger made it clear that this kind of ranking was just not right.

"Is this really what we need?" she wrote. "There's so much going on in the world, and people struggling in so many ways. Being mean is so yesterday. There's enough room to love all these guys. Love is what we all need, not meanness and bullying. Let's try that."

Robert Downey Jr. dedicated an Instagram grid post to defending Pratt's character: "What a world... The “sinless” are casting stones at my #brother, Chris Pratt... A real #Christian who lives by #principle, has never demonstrated anything but #positivity and #gratitude... AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value.
If you take issue with Chris,,, I’ve got a novel idea.
Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of #character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness... @prattprattpratt I #gotyerbackbackback"

And Mark Ruffalo weighed in on Twitter: "You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now [to unseating Donald Trump]."
