Kate Middleton and Prince William continue to work from their home in Norfolk, and support people who are volunteering all over the United Kingdom.

During one of their calls this week, and in honor of Volunteers' Week, Kate and William spoke to people working with Conscious Youth in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, and Machynlleth Community Corona Response in Powys, Wales. Conscious Youth, which was founded in 2016, supports young people to take part in projects and events, and run their own activities. Machynlleth Community Corona Response (MCCR), is a mutual aid group with more than 100 volunteers, who have been helping to make 3-D printed visors, scrubs, and face masks, and provide food for those in need during the pandemic.

During the couple's Zoom chat, Prince William told volunteers, "It’s National Volunteering Week and I want to say a big thank you from both of us. Thank you for all the volunteering you’re doing, thank you for all the time and effort you’re putting in. It’s been hugely rewarding and important that you guys are doing that and you have been a lifeline to all the people who you’ve helped in the area."

Duchess Kate concurred and said, "One of the things that would be amazing is if everyone in their communities was to carry on and still celebrate volunteering in a way that they have been during the pandemic. Everyone’s got something to give back."

The Duke of Cambridge also revealed that he's been volunteering with Shout, the UK’s first 24/7 crisis text line.
