Conspiracy theories be damned because Kate Middleton has been spotted for the first time since her surgery. After weeks of speculation regarding her whereabouts, the royal was seen in the passenger seat of a car alongside her mother, Carole Middleton.

In the images obtained by TMZ, Middleton and her mother are seen driving an Audi near Windsor Castle on Monday, March 4. The Princess of Wales wore her long brunette hair down, and she accessorized with sunglasses. This marks the first sighting of Middleton since her abdominal surgery on Jan. 16, and since her last public appearance at Christmas Day church service.

Last week, the internet went wild, crafting unfounded conspiracies about the princess's break from the spotlight. Despite the palace's statement explaining that Middleton would not return to her royal duties until after Easter, fans surmised silly theories for her absence from the public eye that included a BBL procedure, growing out her bangs, and entering the Princess Protection Program. After Prince William missed his godfather's memorial and the "Kate Middleton is missing" rumors began circulating, her rep shared that the princess is "doing well" and reiterated Middleton's recovery timeline.

“Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” her rep told Page Six last week. “That guidance stands.”

Middleton's husband, Prince William, also subtly shutdown the hearsay by appearing at several events last week where he casually brought up his wife's name in conversation. During a visit to a Western Marble Arch Synagogue, William included Middleton in his statement against antisemitism saying, “Antisemitism has no place in our society ... Both Catherine and I are extremely concerned about the rise of antisemitism." Additionally, he received flowers on her behalf during two different appearances.
