Kate Middleton’s parents attend Wimbledon as she continues chemotherapy

Kate Middleton’s parents were spotted at Wimbledon Thursday as the princess continues her cancer treatment.

Carole and Michael Middleton were seen in the Center Court royal box at the London tennis tournament, with Carole sporting a floral dress and cream-colored blazer, and Michael in a blue suit and yellow tie.

The appearance come just weeks after Kate, 42, made her first public appearance since Christmas, when she attended the annual Trooping the Colour parade, in celebration of King Charles’ official birthday.

Though the Princess of Wales looked happy and healthy at the June 15 event, which she attended alongside Prince William and their three young kids, royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET she suspected it had taken a “toll” on Middleton as “she knows the eyes of the world on her.”

Though judging by her “impeccable” looks, one would “never have guessed” Middleton was undergoing chemotherapy, Nicholl noted: “The princess has this sort of swan-like quality about her — she’s sort of gliding on the surface — but beneath the water, I think often she’s paddling quite frantically.”

Nicholl also predicted that following the event, Middleton probably won’t be “in public for a little while.”

The princess announced the day prior she would indeed be attending Trooping the Colour and is “making good progress” in her treatment, but admitted she’s “not out of the woods” just yet.

Kensington Palace announced in mid-January that Kate had just undergone a “successful” abdominal surgery, which would likely keep her from public duties until Easter.

Over the ensuing weeks, 75-year-old Charles — who was simultaneously hospitalized for an enlarged prostate — announced he was diagnosed with cancer and would undergo treatment.

In late March, Kate shared her own diagnosis, for which she was receiving preventative chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer.

A source told Us Weekly this week that the health crisis has brought Kate and William closer together.
